This system was engineered for use with a dual action polisher, such as the Porter Cable 7424 XP, and Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Cutting Disc Buffing Pads. The synergy between the pad, compound, and polisher is what makes the system so effective. The specialized microfiber pads work the compound deep into the surface for maximum cutting power while leaving behind a crystal-clear, glossy finish — all without the risks associated with rotary buffers.
Meguiar’s also recommends using their Professional Backing Plates (W67DA 5" or S6BP 6") to minimize heat and extend pad life. For best results, prime the pad thoroughly with compound, then apply 2–4 small drops and work a 2 ft x 2 ft area slowly with light pressure at speed 4–5. Once finished, simply wipe away the residue with a clean microfiber towel. For added protection and enhanced gloss, follow with Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Finishing Wax.
