About the Artist: Simon Ward

Simon Ward is a globally recognized motorsport artist whose work captures the raw speed, power, and history of the world’s greatest racing machines. His passion for motorsports was ignited at the 1973 British Grand Prix, where as a young boy, he witnessed the thrill of Formula 1 up close. Self-taught and deeply immersed in the racing world, Simon transitioned from hobbyist to professional artist in 1986 after securing his first commission from F1 driver Ivan Capelli. Since then, he has traveled the world attending Grand Prix, Le Mans, Daytona, Indianapolis 500, and Sebring, painting legendary race cars and drivers with stunning accuracy and emotion. His artwork has been featured in Sebring’s official posters and programs, as well as in permanent installations at Sebring Regional Airport. Simon’s signature style blends technical precision with the atmosphere of the track, making his paintings feel as if the engines are still roaring and the tires are gripping the pavement.

Each piece he creates is more than just a painting—it’s a tribute to racing history, a celebration of speed, and a tangible connection to the legends of motorsport.
